Happy September, forward-looking cook!

How are you feeling about summer ending? I’m torn — happy the 100+ degree heat has ended here in Dallas, but sad to say goodbye to the carefree season, especially the part that features stone fruit and splendid tomatoes. Looking forward to the return of braising, baking and roasting season, though!

Here are some things that sound great to me now. I hope they appeal to you, too.

Tomato Tart with Goat Cheese and Thyme

To make the most of gorgeous late-season tomatoes, try the tart shown in the upper left above. It’s super easy to achieve, as it starts with frozen puff pastry. Enjoy it warm or room-temp.
